What Is Group Cosplay

Multiple cosplayers who cosplay characters from the same series. Cosplayers who perform in a group cosplay must coordinate months in advance to work out who should cosplay as which character. Group cosplayers will sometimes work on each other’s costumes, letting one person work on their specialty for each costume (i.e. one person sews, one person makes props, one person styles hair, one person designs the make-up, etc.). They often move together during conventions so that they can have their photos taken with the others in their group. Group cosplay is a fan favorite because of its strong effect at conventions, but very difficult to coordinate.
