What Is J-Rock / J-Pop
Japanese music genres. J-rock is short for Japanese rock and J-pop is short for Japanese pop. While obviously popular in Japan, these genres have gained extreme popularity amongst anime fans worldwide. It is not uncommon for popular Japanese artists to record anime introductions or endings, often leading to fans of the anime to become fans of the artist. In terms of cosplay, they relate to con-goers costuming as Japanese performing artists.
